  Jim and I drove over to the Hilo Airport to take a Helicopter flight over the volcano and the lava crashing into the sea. This is a sleepy airport, that seems to mostly cater to inter-island flights and mostly to and from Honolulu. The lone restaurant here fit into that vibe, so when my brother-in-law decided to sit down for Lunch, there was no line and plenty of seating.
  
  Jim went for the full cheeseburger and fries combination, while I went more local with a hamburger curry "stew" service with rice. Our food was just OK, but certainly filling and very complimentary to our Hawaiian beer order. The total tab was $34, which was a reasonable Island price. The only distraction was a droning TV and an airport employee who easily and loudly made his political opinions known. The fact that we mostly agreed with him was besides the point. Burying our heads in a couple available newspapers/magazines helped get us through.
